She Chose Down! [Housing Lossage Coda]
Sep. 29th, 2008 12:24 pmThe bailout bill has gone down in the House, at least on the first vote. [Disclosure: I'm strongly in favor of some sort of Federal action; the bill that just went down was flawed in a number of ways, but nothing catastrophic; it would have been much better than nothing, even with the SEC being allowed to end mark-to-market accounting, which would have been unfortunate].
Meanwhile, folks in the Conservative press are starting to say 'Y'Know, maybe we're not so thrilled with this whole Palin-one-heartbeat-away thing...'
<political snark>
Anybody wanna bet me that McCain will come out in opposition to any sort of Finance Bailout, in an attempt to pick up the large fraction of voters who are allergic to it?
