Iran is in the throes of regime change.
CNN and other major television news outlets have not been covering it well, I believe because the government has been denying them access to video footage and they are trying to protect their own people and access to the country (on the assumption that it will all blow over).
Twitter and Youtube, however, have been getting the information out, even in the face of the Iranian government trying desperately to muzzle it, both to prevent the outside world from seeing and to take one of the key organizing tools away from the opposition.
If you are unaware of this, I strongly encourage you to go search on Twitter for the topic #IranElection, or read Andrew Sullivan's excellent coverage on the Atlantic website.
