Mar. 31st, 2008 02:48 pm- The new Joe Jackson album, Rain - Good. I need to listen to the whole thing in a better listening environment than my car. His last album, Night and Day II was stellar, by the way, possibly surpassing the original Night and Day released twenty-five years ago.
- The new Debbie Harry album, Necessary Evil - Ok. I'd like it more in certain moods, I just don't happen to have been in one of those moods since I got it. If I'm lucky, I'll find that it has at least one standout track, as No Evil did, that makes the whole album worthwhile. One wacky thing - it's the first album of Debbie Harry's where her voice has obviously aged since her work thirty years ago. On the other hand, that's not unreasonable.
- Daft Punk's Discovery - Yummmmm. I really should have discovered Daft Punk eight years ago when they were doing their think during the tech boom. Oh, right, I was busy running a startup. Nevermind. Anyway, I picked up two Daft Punk albums this weekend, and the one I've listened to is making me happy, and I expect that the one I haven't listened to yet will do so as soon as I listen to it.
- Morcheeba's newest, Deep Dive - Oh. My. God. This is such an excellent album. Much with the tastyness. Good Bass, good Lyrics, yummy Vocals, what more could you want from your electronica? Maybe an upcoming live show... Ooh, I've won.
